It was here that I discovered the allure of the road less traveled.
Entering the park on the least-visited side, taking the unpaved scenic route that added time to our journey, passing a small shed with an American flag to later discover it’s the nation’s smallest working post office.
All of these experiences were near misses.
We drove past them, turned around, and revisited them.
In my daily life, I despise the “back-track” concept.
But as a traveller, I’ve learned it is the gateway to an enhanced experience.
